Does FSU have a shot at NY OL?
John Elliott is a wanted man, even if he's up in New York. The 6-foot-4, 282-pound offensive tackle has about 17 offers from teams like Florida State, Oklahoma, Michigan, West Virginia, Clemson, and North Carolina. But don't look for the big man to make a decision anytime soon.
"I'm going to narrow things down in a month or two," said Elliott. "I don't have a date for deciding. As long as it takes."
The Empire State big man hasn't had a lot of contact with Florida State, although he did try to get a hold of Coach Lilly the other day. The East Meadow star wants to learn more about the Seminoles so he can decide whether or not to make a visit Tallahassee.
"I know FSU is a great program," said Elliott, "they have a great tradition. I was surprised. I'm looking for a balance between academics and football. I want to fit in with the coaches and players. I saw the Penn State game. I thought it was a great game, they have great players."
