Jackson impresses in Pittsburgh

When looking at the rosters for the Pittsburgh Jam Fest, one name stood out as a surprise. The name was Dante Jackson.


The 6-foot-5 wing from Greenfield, Ohio was not expected to be in attendance at the Jam Fest. However, Jackson switched AAU teams from the Kentucky HoopStars to the Cincinnati Royals.


The switch put Jackson on a big stage, and he rose up to the challenge.


"Joey Snyder from the Cincinnati Cowboys, he lives like 15 minutes away from me and he asked me to play in these two tournaments with the Royals, so that is what I am doing here. I know I've got a little time off at the end of May and the beginning of June when the Kentucky (HoopStars) team isn't doing anything, so I am just trying to find a team to play with," Jackson said when asked about why he ended up playing for the Royals.
