Cavaliers stay red hot, secure pledge No. 6
Virginia coach Al Groh has made no secret about the fact that he wants UVa to be known as a premier destination for tight ends, and the success of players like Heath Miller has only aided in that cause.
The Cavaliers are looking for a couple of tight ends in the class of 2007, and on Thursday they landed one of the top ones on their board.
According to sources close to the situation, Virginia picked up its third commitment in less than a week when Mark Ambrose made a verbal commitment to the program earlier today.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder from Mt. Carmel, Pa., informed UVa assistant Bob Price, his lead recruiter, of his decision.
