California DB loves Buckeyes tradition

Even with nine scholarship offers on the table -- most from the West Coast -- Long Beach (Calif.) Poly cornerback Donovan Warren feels something is missing -- namely tradition.

Warren, a 6-0, 175-pounder with 4.4 speed, is a member of the Rivals100 for the class of 2007, and he currently has offers from Pac-10 schools Arizona, Arizona State, California, Oregon, USC and UCLA, as well as papers from Michigan, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

But there's one school he's interested in that hasn't come forward, and he's hoping they do.

"Ohio State is a school I like," Warren said. "The tradition the Buckeyes have is great, especially with DBs. They have a lot of DBs going in the draft this year. I've never been to Ohio State before, but I know the tradition. It's a place I'd love to get to see."
