NorCal RB has high ceiling

Running back Doug Martin (5-11, 193, 4.4) from Stockton (Calif.) Saint Mary's is player who has a very high ceiling. He is a virtual neophyte to the game of football. He has only been playing since his freshman season.

Cal, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, UNLV, Arizona State, UCLA, and Stanford are showing recruiting interest in Martin.

As a junior, Martin rushed for 1,950 yards and scored 18 touchdowns and his performance saw him earn first-team all-section, all-area as a running back and was his team's MVP in 2005.

Martin is taking his football seriously and his working hard on improving his skills. He is scheduled to attend the Nike Camp in Palo Alto May13th. He will also attend the West Coast football camp on May 20th in Santa Barbara and will attend one-day camps at Cal and Oregon.

Martin shines brightest when his team needs him most. In a playoff game, Martin rushed for 240 yards and five touchdowns while helping his team to big win in the playoffs. He long run was a 79 yard run.
