Loheyde talks Pitt

Few players from Pitt's class of 2006 attended more of the Panthers' spring practices than Gateway linebacker Dan Loheyde. Along with Woodland Hills linebacker Greg Webster and Franklin Regional defensive lineman John Malecki, Loheyde was among the Panthers' top observers this spring. Other commits regularly attended practice, like Dorin Dickerson, Nate Nix, and Elijah Fields, but few were there as much as Loheyde, Webster, and Malecki. Loheyde spoke to the Pantherlair recently about spring camp.

Loheyde said he feels like he's got a grasp on the Panthers' defense. There was more for Loheyde to pick up at Pitt's spring practices than just the playbook. Attending so many sessions also gave him the opportunity to see how he can fit into the Panthers' defense.
