Beavers offer talented playmaker out of Arizona

The Oregon State football coaching staff is handing out scholarship offers earlier than ever before because they want to make an early impression.

They hope to stay strong in the recruitment of Kerry Taylor, a playmaking 6-foot-1, 170-pound wide receiver from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Ariz.

Expect him to get a personal visit from the staff in the upcoming weeks as he starts getting ready for spring drills.

"Things are going really good right now," Taylor said. "I've been doing track, running the 400 and the 4x100 relay. In three weeks, spring football will get started. Right now, we have a PE class where three times a week we do some football drills. I've been really working on my speed and my strength."
