Upstate athlete will attend Clemson Nike Camp
With the Clemson Nike Camp event less than one month away, many prospects in the South and across the Mid Atlantic Region are already shoring up plans to attend. One prospect set to go for May 21st is Spartanburg - Broome wide receiver - defensive back recruit Markish Jones.
Last season the 6-foot, 187-pounder tallied 35 catches for 550 yards and five touchdowns, while on defense he grabbed nearly 30 tackles and an interception.
"I like man-to-man coverage on defense, and I feel that I could play corner or safety on the next level," Jones said. "I get a lot of yards after the catch as a receiver. I have good running skills, so once I get the ball, I try to make a lot of big plays using my abilities as a runner."
Jones, a long-jump champion in track as a sophomore, claims a 4.4/40, and hopes to record that time when he attends the Clemson Nike Camp.
