SoCal QB gets first offer

After an off year as far as depth goes at the quarterback position the state of California looks to once again be strong at the signal caller position. One of the state's best is Ronnie Fouch (6-2, 180, 4.7) from Redlands (Calif.) East Valley.

Fouch received his first offer last Friday (April 28th).

"Ronnie received offer from East Carolina," East Valley coach Kurt Bruich said. "Defensive Coordinator Greg Hudson is coming out to see him next Friday (May 5th)."

"Ronnie looks to be back at full strength," Bruich said. "The arm looked stronger than ever at the Elite 11."

Fouch proved how tough was in last game as junior in a game against talent rich Colton. He a lethal hit from Colton cornerback and USC bound Shareece Wright and actually separated his shoulder. Somehow he gathered himself together to finish the drive that culminated in a score for East Valley. He even threw a pass with his dangling wing after escaping the rush. It was pure guts.

When Fouch saw coach Bruich before the surgery last November, he joked with coach saying, "Now I know why you want me to slide."
