Ebbitt visits the Northwest

Although he's been busy with school and off-season workouts, Michael Ebbitt is also wasting no time with his college recruitment.

During his rare down periods from everything else, the strong 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive end from Westlake Village, Calif, Oaks Christian, has taken time out to make a number of unofficial visits, where he's been meeting with prospective coaching staffs and observing what each school looking at him has to offer.

Ebbitt's most recent trek was up to the Pacific Northwest in mid-April.

"It was about three or four weeks ago that I went up to visit Oregon and Oregon State," Ebbitt said. "I went to Oregon first, and then went down to Oregon State. I really liked it up at Oregon. The facilities were great and I really like the defensive line coach there too. Oregon State was also good. I like their academic support and their campus a lot. I met all the coaches and they're really nice at Oregon State."
