Lee Chambers has a new leader

As a high school junior Coffeeville, Miss., running back Lee Chambers posted some impressive number.


He rushed for 1,441 yards and scored 17 touchdowns. Many recruiting analysts consider Chambers to be Mississippi's top running back prospect in the class of 2007.


Chambers has already picked up more than half a dozen offers from some of the southeast's top programs.


Recently, one school is beginning to move to the front of the pack, and Chambers could be close to a commitment.


Chambers and his Coffeeville teammates are in the middle of their spring training and are working toward a May 11 game against J.Z. George, Miss., High.


"It's going good," he said of spring training when asked by EagleTalk.net. "I'm just trying to go out and get a little better everyday."
