Scott makes the call, visits top center target

Clemson could conceivably take five offensive linemen in the 2007 recruiting class, but with two commits already in the boat, the coaching staff is expected to take just one more interior pledge.

At the top of the board remains Columbia, S.C., Spring Valley offensive center prospect Mason Cloy, one of the Palmetto State's top overall recruits regardless of position.

Entering the second week of May, Cloy carries offers from the Tigers, along with South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia, N.C. State, Georgia Tech, Southern Mississippi, Vanderbilt, East Carolina and Wake Forest.
