Scott, West stop off in Gainesville to see Claytor

One prospect in Georgia whose stock continues to rise is Gainesville offensive lineman Nick Claytor, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound tackle with a big offer sheet that continues to grow almost daily.

"Boston College and Vanderbilt came by today. I got a verbal (offer) from Boston College. North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky offered last week. Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Maryland, Indiana and Vanderbilt have offered, too," Claytor said in a Wednesday night interview. "Coach (John) Jancek from Georgia came by yesterday, and he wants me to come to their camp. Florida State is coming by May 9."

Claytor said he has already received May phone calls from LSU, Mississippi State, Clemson and Virginia Tech.

"North Carolina is going to call me tonight. I got a text-message from them today, and they said they would be calling later tonight," Claytor said. "I've been playing phone-tag with coach (Ron) West. He hasn't talked to me yet, but he called and missed me, so I'm going to call him tonight. Coach (Torian) Gray from Virginia Tech told me they are still waiting on more film, but they're very interested."
