Crawford focusing on the transition

While Cordova (Tenn.) athlete Jocques Crawford inked with Texas Tech in February as part of the Red Raiders 2006 recruiting class, many felt safe in assuming that the talented running back's path to Lubbock would include a stop at a prep school or junior college. Unfortunately, it appears as if that assumption is mostly true.

"Right now, I have found out that I do have to go to prep school," explained Crawford, who will retain four years of eligibility afterwards.

Crawford, who rushed for over 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns during his last two years of high school, was somewhat of a late addition to Tech's class; his verbal commitment to the Red Raiders came two days before National Signing Day.
