Signee drops 15 pounds, says he feels quicker
Hurricanes defensive back signee Tervaris Johnson participated in track this past semester, preventing him from doing football-oriented workouts.
He says he lost 15 pounds during track, tipping the scales at 209 pounds. But he says that suits him just fine -- "I want to be right around 210 when I get to Miami because I think they'll start me off at cornerback first," Johnson said.
That's a good bet. Cane coaches typically like to work all incoming DB's at cornerback before considering safety.
Johnson has been in regular contact with UM coaches.
