Hill expects to make two-deep as a true frosh
Canes defensive back signee Ryan Hill attended the first week-and-a-half of Miami's spring practice.
"I was in the meetings, was there every day at practice," he said. "I learned a couple of blitzes, how the program is going to be run. That was a real boost for me — knowing what you're going into is better than not knowing."
Hill isn't a guy who lacks confidence.
He sees himself emerging on the two-deep and possibly as a starter in the fall
"I'm looking at right cornerback right now — I'm more familiar with that, and I think coach (Tim) Walton wants me to play that," Hill said. "I expect to be in the two deep as soon as I step foot outside my house. I feel I work hard, have the potential. I feel like I can start right away. I see it'll be competition with Randy (Phillips) and Glenn (Sharpe), but I've been working hard the last six months to get where I'm at, and it's going to pay off to be in the two deep or a starter."
