Hernandez, Tebow clicked during visit
The starting quarterback at the University of Connecticut, D.J. Hernandez, couldn't talk his little brother into joining him at their in-state school. Instead, Bristol, Conn., Central tight end Aaron Hernandez took the advice of his new friend Tim Tebow.
Hernandez has only visited two schools - UConn and Florida - and he committed to the Huskies before making the trip to Gainesville for the Orange and Blue Game. The combination of Tebow and the UF campus was so impressionable on Hernandez that he switched his commitment on the spot.
"I have been the happiest I've ever been and things have been great," Hernandez told GatorBait.net. "I hear a lot of stuff from Connecticut people because they want me to stay in-state, but I'm happy. And nothing against the UConn program, it's just that I want to play at Florida."
