Many schools taking closer look at Aaron Tevis

Tucson, Ariz., Canyon del Oro athlete Aaron Tevis had a promising junior season,
despite playing virtually half the year with two broken bones.

He will enter his senior year as one of the top prospects in the city, in large part due to his versatility. Tevis has the ability to play three or four different positions at the next level.

"I broke my wrist in the sixth game of the season," Tevis said. "I played the last five games (at wide receiver) in a cast and I had a broken thumb on the other hand also. So pretty much all of my stats came in the first five games. After that I just blocked for the tight end and played on defense. (The injury) pretty much took away my primary position."

Tevis had surgery for the wrist in January following the season; more recently he's been recovering from two sprained ankles suffered while playing basketball and running track, respectively.
