Several Wildcats are prospects for 2007 NFL Draft
When watching the second day of the NFL Draft on April 30, Wildcat fans were wondering which player, if any, was going to get drafted. Finally, Kili Lefotu was drafted with the 230th pick.
Lefotu's selection was somewhat surprising and it came with the realization that he would be the only player drafted.
Shortly after the draft, however, Arizona players began signing free agent contracts. Mike Bell signed with the Broncos, Copeland Bryan with the Tennessee Titans, Darrell Brooks with the Cowboys, and Danny Baugher with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Since the addition of Mike Stoops, Arizona has seen an improvement in many areas, but none as obvious as the pure quality of player that is now on the field for the Wildcats.
With Stoops bringing in top talent, it is not far-fetched to say that the Wildcats will start to consistently produce NFL players.
This may start next year as numerous players have a very good chance of being drafted with a season that meets expectations.
Here's a look at some of Arizona's draft prospects that NFL scouts will be taking a close look at this coming season.
