Everett working hard to make an impact

Wide receiver Carlos Everett enjoyed quite a senior season for South Sumter High in Bushnell, Fla.

He more than doubled his career outputs in receptions and receiving yards and scores by hauling in 66 catches for 1,280 yards and 18 touchdowns last fall.

For that he was named first-team all-state, selected by the Orlando Sentinel as the No. 26 player in Florida and picked to play in the prestigious CaliFlorida All-Star game, as well as the North-South game in Florida.

The laid back Everett is now focusing on brining that type of production to Raleigh this fall when he arrives at NC State.

"I've really just been working out and finishing out my school year," Everett said. He added that he currently checks in at 6-foot-2 and between 187 and 190 pounds.
