Gig Harbor stud could camp at UW

When a big time recruit reaches the college of his choice, the impact they made in high school is something that is usually a couple seasons away.


However, Gig Harbor High School's Toney Henderson could have the opportunity to make such an impact, on special teams.


"Every time the ball is in his hands you almost hold your breath because you know something big can happen," he coach Darren McKay said. "He had four kicks for touchdowns last year."


The five-foot-nine defensive back and wide receiver hasn't received any offers yet but is getting phone calls from the UW and Eastern Washington.
