Offers for NorCal stud climbing more on the way
Like Ole Man River the offers keep rolling along for offensive tackle Matt Summers-Gavin (6-5, 271, 5.1) from San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius. He is up to seven offers and by the looks of things his scholie opportunities could be in the double figures in the very near future.
"I received a written offer from Oregon," Summers-Gavin said. "I now officially have seven offers with Georgia, Nebraska, Arizona State, Washington, Cal, and Colorado. I'm still wide open with my college choices."
"Brian Polian from Notre Dame came by my school on Thursday and watched me practice," Summers-Gavin said. "Then I talked to him on the phone and he feels I'm the top offensive lineman on the West Coast. He said he'll be meeting with the other coaches on Tuesday and then they'll let me know if they're offering."
"I also spoke with Rich Olson from Miami and the coaches will be meeting Monday (May 22nd), then they'll get back to me," Summers-Gavin said. "Pete Carroll and Pat Ruel will be coming from USC at the end of this week to watch me practice as well."
