Purdue offers top Virginia lineman

Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge offensive tackle Andrew Nuss critiques himself pretty hard and holds himself to a higher standard than most others do.

But even he had to admit that his performance at the Penn State NIKE Camp was pretty good. College coaches agreed and as a result, following the camp, the 6-foot-5, 280-pound prospect saw his offer list grow.

Following the camp, Nuss felt he stacked up pretty well against other prospects there in the areas of footwork, understanding of the game and coachability. His performance prompted Purdue to offer a scholarship.

Eight schools have now offered Nuss and they include teams such as N.C. State, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Duke.
