Spartanburg two-way star making big splash

Spartanburg Broome wide receiver and defensive back Markish Jones is officially out from under the proverbial radar.


The upstate star went into the spring evaluation period as a virtual unknown, but has since become a household name with college coaches.


In fact earlier this spring while attending a Broome workout, Tigerillustrated.com ran into Florida State assistant coach Kevin Steele.


The Seminoles and Tigers have begun to turn up the heat. And since Tigerillustrated.com's April 29 stop off at Broome, Jones has picked up offers from North Carolina, East Carolina, Marshall and Middle Tennessee State.
