Top Indiana Elite prospects like Iowa

This weekend, the Indiana Elite 17 and under team will be headed to the prestigious Bob Gibbons event in North Carolina to compete against many of the top AAU programs in the country.

Next weekend most of the top players on the team will make their way to Iowa City for the Iowa Elite Camp.

HawkeyeReport.com caught up with their coach, Mike Fox, to get updates on Iowa commit Dairese Gary and other prospects on Iowa's radar including Bryan Bouchie, DeAndre Liggins, and Beas Hamga.

Q: How has Dairese Gary done so far this spring?

FOX: He has done really well for us this spring. He is a combo type guard, but what I really love about him is his attitude and demeanor. He is our real leader and our team kind of goes the way he does. He is really positive with everyone and a real likeable kid.

Q: How much has he improved his overall game since last summer?

FOX: He has grown every year. Some people will say he is not a true point guard or a great outside shooter, but he is just a basketball player. He just does whatever it takes to win, if that is knocking down a three pointer, taking the ball to the basket, or locking someone down defensively. He is just a real tough competitor.
