Florida DT hears from Irish

Donte'e Nicholls grew up a fan of the University of Miami but doesn't hold an offer from the Hurricanes.

That fact has helped the 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive tackle from Pompano Beach, Fla., remain open to any school showing interest.

"I have offers from Duke, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Arizona State, Wisconsin, Central Florida, Wake Forest, a lot of them," he said. "Right now I'm open to all of them."

Nicholls is also hearing from Notre Dame, Florida State, Miami and several others.

"(Notre Dame) is sending me mail and I talked to their defensive coordinator last month," he said. "I could see myself playing there. I like their tradition and they have an aggressive defense. I like that aggressive play."
