Guyton blowing up

The name A.J. Guyton makes Illinois basketball fans cringe. The former Peoria standout signed with Indiana out of high school, and went on to an impressive career with the Hoosiers.

Five-foot-eleven, 185-pound Homestead (Fla.) star A.J. Guyton could change the images Illini fans think of when that name is mentioned if all goes as planned over the next few months. Guyton plays quarterback for his high school team, but is being recruited as a wide receiver or defensive back by most colleges.

Guyton already has four offers, and feels a few more may be on the way.

"Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Illinois, and Auburn have already offered," Guyton said. "I think that Minnesota, Alabama, and Michigan State are getting pretty close to offering."
