Sleeper gets first offer

There is a sleeper wide receiver from the East Bay who is about to make a statement along the recruiting front. Keep an eye on wide receiver/safety Mike Calvin (6-3, 190, 4.48) from San Lorenzo, Calif.

Calvin first created a buzz with an outstanding NIKE Camp at Palo Alto where according to new San Lorenzo coach Jacob Wright, he had the fastest 40-time with 4.49 and the second best vertical with a 39.7 jump.

The word quickly resonated with D-I schools that there was a sleeper who was becoming a prospect to be reckoned with.

Calvin's reputation was further enhanced by opposing coaches who were adamant that he was the best wide receiver in the area.

Every Pac 10 school except Stanford found there way to San Lorenzo this past spring.
