State's No. 1 linebacker collecting offers

The state of Kentucky's top linebacker prospect, Brent Slusher, has been extremely busy already this summer. Slusher's family has loaded up the car and travelled thousands of miles from tiny Pineville, Ky.

The miles on the car have already paid dividends, however, as the 6-3, 225-pound linebacker/tight end has four offers at last count. He had offers from Cincinnati, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest and his most recent scholarship proposal was from the coaching staff at Marshall.

In fact, Slusher just returned from a one-day camp at Notre Dame after Irish assistant Rick Minter and head coach Charlie Weis invited Slusher to come to campus.
