Brandon Hogan becomes WVU's 7th commitment

For the second time in several months, West Virginia struck deep in the heart of the fertile Virginia recruiting territory to land a verbal commitment.

This one is lithe (5-foot-11, 170 pounds) Brandon Hogan of Manassas (Va.) Osbourn High.

Earlier, lead recruiter Bill Stewart had received a commitment from Orange County's Bradley Starks, 6-4.

Both have been recruited to play quarterback, though Hogan has played slot receiver, cornerback and safety on the school, camp and combine cycle.

Hogan had received offers from Maryland and Kentucky, though Virginia Tech had followed him closely.
