Hogan thrilled to join his Mountaineer family

WVU quarterback-athlete commit Brandon Hogan is already part of one extended family, now he is ready to stretch that tree to Morgantown.

"Just tell them I'm happy to be there and that I hope they welcome me to their family," Hogan said Thursday morning.

Hogan (5-foot-11, 170, 4.4) became the seventh high school player to commit to the Mountaineers this spring and summer. National Letter of Intent day falls on Feb. 7, 2007.

The Mountaineers are keeping pace with Sugar Bowl vanquished Georgia and other major powers nationally in recruiting. The Bulldogs have committed eight candidates to date, while WVU currently possesses seven picks--three quarterbacks, one offensive lineman, one defensive lineman and two superbacks.
