Orange land top target

Smiles aren't usually associated with Monday mornings, but Syracuse head coach Greg Robinson received a pleasant surprise today when 2007 recruit Cody Catalina, the highly-touted quarterback from Greensburg Catholic (Pa.), called to inform the Orange leader that he's made up his mind. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound standout has committed to Syracuse.

While narrowing his choices down over the past few weeks, Catalina said the decision came down between Syracuse and Vanderbilt. Syracuse, however, won out in the end as Catalina felt comfortable with Robinson and his staff.

One coach in particular had a big in hand in not only landing Catalina, but also reeling in his teammate and lifelong friend Max Suter.
