Oglesby elated with NC State offer

Garner, N.C., High athlete Josh Oglesby already had one offer in hand from East Carolina, but the Pirates' problem is they are not in the ACC. That is where Oglesby wants to play. Over the weekend he took a giant step forward to making that dream become a reality.

"I sure did," Oglesby said. "I went out to NC State's camp and came back with an offer. Coach (Todd) Stroud has kept a close eye on me. He told me if I came by their camp they would offer me. It was still a little bit of a surprise."

Oglesby is a teammate of Chris Culliver, who is considered a soft verbal commitment to NC State. Culliver plays safety, and that is where the Pack has been primarily recruiting Oglesby as well.

"They are now talking about either running back or safety," Oglesby said. "I feel good about the defense cause State has a good defense, but I also liked working with Coach (Dick) Portee, and the offense is good, too."
