Badgers after four-star talent
If you were to ask Chicago (Ill.) Hubbard's Robert Hughes what kind of player he is, the 5-foot-11 ½, 220-pound running back would say he's a combination of power and versatility. And if there's a Division I football program that can respect those kind of attributes in a running back Wisconsin definitely comes to mind.
Maybe that's why the Badgers finally decided to offer Hughes a scholarship.
During the month of May - otherwise known as an evaluation period for college coaches - Hughes said the UW staff stopped by his school to speak with his coach and used their one phone call to recruit him personally.
The Badgers' offer isn't the latest for Hughes, who said he picked up several more in May and the early part of June, bringing his offer total to 24.
