Sun Devils lead for California tight end

One of Arizona State's top tight end prospects appears to be Monrovia, Calif., standout Eric Brooks. The Sun Devils were the first major conference school to offer Brooks a scholarship and he told us that they're recruiting him more actively than any other program.

"They're in the Pac-10 and not that far from home," Brooks said, admitting that he was unaware which ASU coach was responsible for his recruitment. "I like how they use their tight ends and Zach Miller is pretty cool.

"I've been to Arizona but I haven't been out to the (ASU) campus. I want to go though."

Brooks spent the weekend at the B2G Camp; an event he said was unlike anything he experienced on the spring/summer camp circuit.

"It was more like hell week than anything else," Brooks said with a laugh. "But it was a good experience, I had fun and I think I did well. I think that's the last camp or combine that I'm going to go to this summer."
