Four-star linebacker visits Clemson, Rumph

While most of the Clemson coaching staff is away on vacation this week, there was some action on campus yesterday, as a big name was in town in four-star rated linebacker Chris Walker of Memphis, Tenn., Christian Brothers.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder arrived in Pickens County with his mother (Gloria) yesterday morning and remained on the Clemson campus until 5pm.

"We had a good time. I rated it an '8' on a scale of 1-10," Walker told Tigerillustrated.com Wednesday. "I know my mother had a good time, too. When we drove off, she told me she was very impressed with what she saw."

Walker, rated by Rivals.com as the No. 13 outside linebacker in the nation, has offers from a host of top programs, including Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Miami, Arkansas, Louisville and of course Clemson and Memphis.
