Big time receiver examining his options

One of the top wide receivers in the west and best overall prospects in Colorado is Montbello High standout Drew Davis. With numerous offers already available to choose from, Davis said he's still waiting on several elite programs he hasn't heard from yet, but he plans on narrowing his list by the end of summer. Importantly, Davis is a December graduate who plans on enrolling in time for spring football wherever he eventually elects to go to college.

"I've been thinking about it for a couple years," Davis said of the decision to leave high school early. "It was just me weighing the good and bad and deciding there was more good. The only thing bad about it is I'll be leaving my friends but that's just something you have to do at some point anyway and I'm going to be moving on to bigger and better things hopefully so it's just necessary for me to do."

The 6-foot, 195 pound Rivals250 member has scholarship offers from Colorado, Arizona State, Arizona, Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa State, Washington and Washington State, among others, and though he's in high demand, he's interested in hearing more from USC, Notre Dame and Michigan, among others.
