Illinois LB still looking at options

While the 2006 Pitt Panthers may boast a linebacker corps that should rank among the best in the Big East, head coach Dave Wannstedt and his staff are also well aware that the team will graduate three 'backers after this season. As such, Wannstedt, defensive coordinator Paul Rhoads, and linebackers coach Curtis Bray are looking for prospects in the class of 2007 to reload at the position.

One such recruit is Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy inside linebacker Kevin Rouse. Rouse spoke with the Pantherlair recently about the recruiting process.

Rouse, 6-1, 216 pounds, currently holds 18 offers, including scholarships from Pitt, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Minnesota, North Carolina State, and Iowa State.
