Ojomo taking his time

One of South Florida's top jumbo athletes is Hialeah defensive end Adewale Ojomo. The 6-foot-4, 217-pounder has a big frame and good speed, running the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. Ojomo holds scholarship offers from a bevy of programs throughout the country and spoke with Rivals.com about the recruiting process and what makes him a special player.

"Basically, it's a fun experience," Ojomo said. "I'm just being patient with the whole thing. As soon as I feel confident I will make my choice. But until I take my visits and get comfortable with the head coach, the assistant coaches and the other players, then I will make my decision."

Growing up in the shadows of the University of Miami's campus, Ojomo has always followed the Hurricanes.

"I am a long-time Cane," Ojomo said. "I grew up watching that program. I know it's a place that produces a lot of NFL draft picks and it's a great school. I've been talking to coach Randy Shannon, to coach Clint Hurtt and to coach Larry Coker about Miami.
