Szczerba getting closer to making college choice
Wilmington, Del., Salesianum tight end Andrew Szczerba (6-foot-6, 255 pounds, 4.8 seconds) has 10 scholarships offers and is considered one of the top three players in Delaware for 2007. Szczerba, a rugged blocker and capable receiver, has visited Virginia on numerous occasions. The standout tight end is nearing a decision in what can be considered a two-team race. Are the Cavaliers the team to beat for Szczerba's services?
"Virginia is very high on my list. I have a great relationship with the coaches and I really like it there. I just don't see how you could go wrong with Virginia. The academics and the quality of the football program make Virginia very attractive," said Szczerba.
Penn State remains very high on Szczerba's list as well.
"I really like both schools. I have visited both and could see myself at either at this point. I have a tough decision ahead of me."
