EXCLUSIVE: Cane RB signee headed to prep school
University of Miami tailback signee Graig Cooper won't officially be a Cane just yet.
He says he missed qualifying by one point on his ACT, and that combined with academic problems caused by attending three different high schools mean that he will spend the fall at Milford Preperatory Academy.
Current Hurricanes Antonio Dixon and Richard Gordon also reached UM via the New York prep school. And Cane commitment LeSean McCoy remains there -- he is also a running back recruit.
"I'm disappointed, but it's alright," Cooper said. "It's not junior college. I'm okay with it."
