Indiana RB adds offer on VT visit

Indianapolis Warren Central running back Darren Evans made a Southern tour over the weekend to three schools including Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-0, 207-pounder had good visits to all three and even picked up a new offer from the Hokies.

"I started my trip by going to Georgia on Friday," he said. "I just visited the school there and took a tour of campus. It was nice and I did get to talk to Mark Richt along with the offensive and defensive coordinator. They were nice guys, but we didn't do too much on the trip. It was still a good visit and I may go again."

From there Evans headed to Atlanta and Georgia Tech.

"I got to Georgia Tech on Saturday and it was an alright visit," he said. "They had a prospect camp and I worked out and felt like I did pretty well. They seemed pretty interested in me and my teammate Adrien Robinson, although they didn't offer. On the trip, I did take a tour and I liked the school and location, how they are right in Atlanta. I didn't get to sit down with the coaches and find out more about their program, I still need to do that."
