Four-star lineman planning USC visit

Jacksonville, Fla., Bartram Trail lineman Thomas Edenfield is rated by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 21 offensive tackle, and he has the offer list to back it up.

"I have offers from Florida, South Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina, Louisville, Nebraska, UCF and a few others," the 6-foot-6, 295-pound Edenfield said. "I also think Florida State is close to offering, and I also like LSU and Auburn."

Edenfield, who bench presses 310 pounds, plans a trip to Columbia in the near future.

"I'm going to visit South Carolina in the next week or two," he said. "I've always liked Steve Spurrier and looked up to him as a coach. I also like Steve Spurrier Jr. a lot, too. We've talked a few times, and we get along well. I'm friends with Kerry Bonds because we used to play together when I was at Lincoln (High School). He was kind of like a big brother to me."
