"I really like the facilities. They are awesome," said the Hiram, Ohio, Manuta Crestwood standout. "It is a good football program and it is a good school for what I want to go into -- communications."

Vanderink got a brief glimpse of Kentucky when he came down for a camp. Unfortunately, the camp did not go exactly as planned.

"I went there and talked to Chuck Smith," said Vanderink. "I went to it, but I was sick. I had a bad flu virus. So I just went there, I saw the facilities then I had to drive home."

Vanderink said he plans to make a return to Lexington when he feels like staying longer. The big question is how interested is Kentucky? Like most schools, Kentucky loves the way Vanderink runs.
