Provo heads to Big East

Greenacres (Fla.) Leonard tight end Nick Provo will play college football in the Big East.

Syracuse made the 6-foot-2, 213-pounder an offer after a camp session this summer and he committed.

"They are the first school to try and get me committed," Provo said. "I've liked them every since I went to camp up there at the end of my sophomore year."

Provo added that he enjoyed working with Orange tight ends coach Brian White during camp.

"He's a good coach," Provo said. "Compared to all of the other camps that I went to, Coach White is a little bit different."

A conversation with Syracuse head coach Greg Robinson sealed the deal for Provo.

"I called him up and that's when he offered me," Provo said. "He offered me and he talked about putting together a program and told me that he wanted me to be a part of it."
