Mullins looking to gain UCLA’s attention
Los Angeles Dorsey athlete Robert Mullins hopes to smash his lofty tackle totals from his junior season in his senior year. In order to do that, however, he needs to be healthy and that is the major concern right now. Almost three months removed from hip surgery, Mullins is just starting to get back to running and lifting and will likely miss the opening game of his senior season.
Now at 6-0 and 205 pounds after the injury, Mullins rehab should start soon. He'll have a long climb, though, to put himself in position to beat the 165 total tackles he registered in his junior season.
The injury has not scared too many teams away from offering, however. He holds nine total scholarship tenders from Washington State, Washington, Cal, Arizona, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Utah, Oregon, Mississippi State.
"I don't have a top five because it is really inconsistent, but it kind of consists of Miami, it was Texas until I heard they had 19 commits already, Florida State, Cal, UCLA and Notre Dame," Mullins said. "Location is not really a big factor, it is more of the weather. I would rather have a warmer environment, but if it comes to playing time and where I can fit the best, it wouldn't really matter to me. I am willing to go farther out."
