Bears get defensive

Ryan Douglass was an unknown when Leander's 2005 season began. That quickly changed as the Luling, Texas, transfer made his presence known around Central Texas.

In his first season in Leander, Texas, Douglass earned All-District and All-Central Texas while playing both tackle and end for one of the top defenses in the area.

Douglass's name was late to emerge but a few solid camp performances quickly opened eyes to the 6-2, 210-pound defensive end with Oklahoma State, Missouri, Baylor, and Colorado State coming through with early offers and interest from Texas A&M and Kansas.
