Two-way standout has three offers

If your team is looking for a versatile athlete who stands out at running back and corner then a good place to look would be three-star James Davis (5-8, 181, 4.53) from Monrovia, Calif.

Davis earned his league's Offensive MVP award as a junior after he rushed for 1,532 on a 179 carries and 24 touchdowns. He is also a solid receiver out of the backfield catching nine passes for 212 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

As a sophomore, Davis rushed for 767 yards and seven touchdowns. He even threw for a touchdown

Colleges are recruiting Davis as a corner where he racked up 40 tackles, 27 of which were solo. That is pretty good production from a corner. He also had four picks to his credit.

Where Davis ends up on the D-I level remains in doubt. It probably comes down to how much he grows. If Davis gets bigger he will end a running back, if his size remains pretty much the same then he could end up on defense.

The offer situation is still status quo as Davis stand at three offers from Colorado, Colorado State and Washington State. He continues to hear from Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Duke, Boston College, and Rutgers.
