Dworaczyk gets LSU offer and favors Tigers
The State of Louisiana usually does not have a plethora of offensive lineman.
So when the good ones do come along, state coaches usually jump on them quick.
One of the top tackles in the state, Catholic-New Iberia's Josh Dworaczyk (pronounced Door-raw-sick), is rated as a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com.
The 6-5, 263-pound senior to be said he made a quick trip to Baton Rouge and the reward he got when he got there was well worth the car ride.
"Yesterday I went there to just stop by and visit," Dworaczyk said. "I just went to talk with the coaches there. (LSU commitment) Mitch Joseph called me Sunday night. I actually thought the camp was this upcoming weekend. I did not realize that it was actually this past weekend. I was actually at a tournament watching my little brother in Lake Charles.
"Mitch called me and said that I really need to come up there because the (LSU) coaches said they wanted to talk to me. So I drove up there yesterday morning to just go talk and visit with the coaching staff. That is when they officially offered me a scholarship to come and play football at LSU. It was definitely a great feeling."
