Nall ready to mold OL into strong SEC unit

Auburn has fielded one of the SEC's top offensive lines the last few years and it should be more of the same in 2006. In fact, with four seniors slated to be in the starting lineup, this could be the best unit Auburn has fielded in quite a long time.


On paper, at least.


But on the field, Auburn must break in two new starters at tackle and veteran offensive line coach Hugh Nall is not ready to hand out many kudos just yet.


"I think we have a good nucleus," said Nall. "And I'm excited about the fact that we do have some numbers. But snaps and playing time is what you've got to have. Those guys have got to have a lot of snaps together as the same group.


"I don't know how good they can be. I think that will be up to them. It depends how they come on and mold together and bond. Right now it's five guys. We don't have an offensive line yet."
